I wouldn't call "Black Swan" a waste of time, but it's weird, not easy movie, just for one time for me. But I don't regret seeing that. But if someone is depressed or in bad mood - it may be too dark to stand.
I saw The Hunger Game last Friday. I enjoyed the movie a lot. I haven't read the books. I will consider to buy it. Everybody says, that they are better than a movie.

But if someone is depressed or in bad mood - it may be too dark to stand. Honestly?I wasen't in a bad mood or something like that, nor i'm such impressionable, taking note that i've watched when i was 10 yeard old " the exorcist", i don't wish to open a dispute, nor a querelling, just different tastes, that's all! ;D I'm not referring to you, i'm simply talking about me, and shared my opinion, i didn't ment to open a debating on a movie that i didn't liked. ;D You enjoy it?Good for you. This movie from my pov is simply a quoting of several different cult movies, mainly Dario Argento, and the ticket price doesn't worth it, i didn't see so far nothing such dark, " the silence of the lamb" or " Someone Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" are much more darker and tense. There's much more better movies about classic ballet, and mental disease. Now for the last movie i've seen " The Next Three Days", impressive, as usual Russel Crowe never disappoints, and you're stuck on the screen since the very last minute of the movie, wow a blast! I wondering were the academy looks when they files the Oscar nomination list.

It's just a matter of taste, but I would. I wrote my opinion, about this movie (in this thread) a while ago. I was not depressed or in a bad mood at all, when I saw "Black Swan", I just think it's a bad movie. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen, it's very pretentious imo and I didn't like it at all. I totally agree with Maria, it's got nothing to do with the fact that BS is weird, dark, or not easy, there are movies that are way better in the same genre. I do like psychological thrillers / dramas, but this one is a bad one imo, there is nothing about this movie that I like. Maria, "The Next Three Days" seems very interesting! I would like to see it!

You wouldn't be disappointed Els! "The Next Three Days" is very very impressive movie, the plot is well done and solid, the storyline is clamped and meticulous, all the suppositions, and the assumptions that the audience belived genuine are subverted thru the eyes of the detective just on the very last minutes of the movie, so in a wider point you reach the real fact of the event along with the detective. But again everything is sovverted, and just the audience remain with the thuth...amazing.

Seems that me and you share the same opinion about this movie, N.Portman seems overacting and after 1 hour you cannot stand he character anymore... The storyline seems confusing and haven't any leitmotif, is disconnected hard to find interesting...really...deliberately cumbersome and brainy... Just Vincent Cassel is impressive, despite the fact that his character have just few scenes, also Mila Kunis seems credible, but her character has been built to be an antagonist a little climber, without any scruples, so she cannot have much depth... But is too little to turn a bad movie good, so completely agree with your review.

I didn't mean that you were depressed, girls! Just to make things clear. ;D That's strange, but I didn't really enjoy it, still don't regret watching. The story somehow sucked me in. Maybe because I don't know any similar stories.

Mermon it's all fine, i didn't mean to be sarcastic, just i wanted to point that if you liked the movie, this was the main thing. At least tastes are different, so it's fine is some liked Black Swan while othere instead didn't. About the story i see so many parts from plots of Dario Argento's movies, and even something of Psyco, something alse from Shining, and something more even from Signs, so to me isn't that much original... ;D

@maria- I haven't heard of that movie, Who is in it?
Seen the new Karate Kid movie. It was ok. Not sure how I feel about a 10 year old with six pack abs. I think they should have some health fat on them, cause they are growing all the time.

@maria- I haven't heard of that movie, Who is in it? The main actress is Gwinet Paltrow, but there's a lot of othre actors in it, the movie was aired back in 2010, and paltrow get even a nominee as best actress for the oscar if i remeber correctly, it's s good movie! Ad usually i didn't enjoy that much Paltrow, but she was quite credible in the role of the biggest country star in decline due to alchool addiction. See just tonight "The kids are alright", the movie have an impressive cast, and it's well acted, but in my pov too uncosistent at some stage in the storyline, but very very enjoyable.

Me too, Jessica There was a very interesting documentary on Belgian television about the Belgians (27 - only 7 survived) on the Titanic, and there were interviews with some of their families, and the reporter tried to find graves of the Belgians who had been on the Titanic. The stories were very interesting and after the documentary, I kept on thinking about it for quite some time... I also saw the documentary from James Cameron, very interesting to see indeed! (it was on Discovery Channel Belgium), and after that program, there was another documentary "Conspiracies of Titanic", about different theories about the cause of the Titanic disaster.

els. Yeah. Lots of good shows on about the Titanic. I also saw one w/ Dr. Ballard. He found the Titanic in 1985. He been tring to get the site perserved better. There have been others at he site and have taken items, So sad people can't let them rest were they are. Also they are damaging the ship more. I also saw one were four people built some parts of the Titanic by hand. JUst like they did 100 yrs ago. Lots of hard work. They talk to alot of familes who were involved in building her.
