I know this is supposed to be a fun board, but anyway. Have you seen the pictures of Japan? I just heard that there has been an explosion in the NUCLEAR POWER PLANT! Part of the building is missing and it's been reportet that nuclear fusion has happend. OH MY GOD. This so reminds me of Chernobyl! I was only a child then but I remember we were not allowed to play outside that year and our mom threw everything away that had grown in our garden, she wouldn't let us eat anything of that. My prayers go out to the people affected. It seems so silly to be chatting about paps and movies and little things while other literally fight for their life. I don't want to put anyone down, I just had to let it air somewhere.

I have been to Japan a couple of years ago and I was stunned at how disciplined these people are. I guess this is a good thing now. Imagine this sort of thing to happen in Europe - there would be absolut chaos and anarchy!

I understand your fears, Lauren, but I guess we'll just have to wait. If worse comes to worse and the nuclear plants really start to leak big time I guess nobody will be able to go to Japan for a long time (at least certain parts). Otherwise we just need to be optimistic and hope that nothing will happen while your friend is there. I feel like there are a lot of earthquakes lately. Just two weeks ago it hit Newsealand too.

I heard tha snwo was expected to hit Japan in next 24h, if t's so could be a good thing, the snow will act as the barrier, absorbing, partially, the microdust released into the air, and radiation will spread much more slowly.
