Hey, dag buurmeisje! Ik woon niet zo ver van Nederland, in Kapellen, op ongeveer 5 minuutjes rijden van de grens *dikke knuffel!* (Hey, hi neighbour girl I don't live far from The Netherlands, in Kapellen, about a five minute drive from the border *big hug*)

It may seem odd to us, but kids need this kind of information. They fear as well, and this way they understand a lot better what is happening. Plus Japanese people are used to that kind of animation...

But I dont understand why they talk about poop. In Finland we always talk things at their own names. I dont mean you have to say everything to your kids but anyway say what it is. I think they will understand its not just poop cause adults are scared and nervous. Best way IMO is parents explaining the situation how it is. I guess Japanese are more used to animations

Well you made a good point Jakegirl, i don't know why they novelise the truth, surely adults told to kids how the things are for real, i'm also sad to say that few japanese kids have still a TV where they could watch those animation....

I feel the same way about it, Jakesgirl, I agree with you! In Belgium too, it would be approached differently, I'm sure...
