Let's start this month off by the latest twitpic of Jake, taken outside his favourite NYC café "La Colombe Torrefaction" He seems to be chatting with someone. Maybe it's easier to start a conversation with Jake when he's relaxed in his fav. place. If you're ever in NYC yourself and want to check this place out: www.lacolombe.com631 West 27th Street New York, NY phone: (800) 563-0860

Sweet picture. Jake doesn't seem to have a problem making himself noticeable, sitting in the window like that.
This cafe is way over on the west side of Manhattan, near the river. I've never been there, but the place could be located in Chelsea Piers, a large commercial area on the waterfront with many shops, restaurants, and other establishments; there may even be a museum there. It's very popular. Chelsea Piers is also near the new promenade that was created upon an abandoned elevated railway along the lower west side of Manhattan. This beautiful walkway stretches for many blocks and has been planted with trees and flowers. It has a name, but I can't think of it. Does anyone know that name? It's something like Skyline or Skyway.
Maybe Jake has friends living in the area. Or maybe he's staying in Manhattan instead of out in Brooklyn with Maggie. It was said recently that Jake was seen jogging in Central Park with her. Wonder why she's doing her jogging in Manhattan instead of Brooklyn?

Hi, Evie. You're referring to the Highline, I think. It's a very cool park/project. I assume Jake has walked it. Wonder what he thinks.

Totally intrusive pic, even if Gyllenhaal is cute, sorry to ruin the party but sometimes it's scary the pressure that celebrities need to handle....

It surely is an private picture, but I have to say I'm pretty pleased how little paparazzi attention Jake has stired in NYC. I think this would be a much better place for him to live. Even if some fans take pictures every once in a while, it pretty much came down to one or two a week.
Not like every day as we are used to from LA.

At long last a paparazzi found Jake in NYC: The full set (including Jake drinking a smoothie in just a plain white shirt) can be seen on IHJ. I like how the face pet is still tamed.

How I missed you! So talking about paps - fresh pictures Sasha! Jake doesn't look totally pleased. I like how he looks directly in the lenses. Like he wanted to say - "What's up man?!" Or "Piss off".

More likely the second, Mermon, because he still looks like he's in a good mood while talking to the shop assistent.

I can't imagine what that must feel like being followed around and photographed constantly. Probably annoying more than anything!

Just try this for one day: as soon as you leave the house and until you come back try to act like somebody is watching and photographing you. After like an hour you'll be so annoyed you stop doing it. You think I should have worn this, brought that, etc...
I tried it once and now I'm even more respectful for what these people go throught on a daily basis.

I'd like to walk the Highline myself one day. I lived in Chelsea for over three years, but that was well before this walkway or Chelsea Piers was developed; even so, Chelsea is one of the best sections in Manhattan. Jake would probably love the Highline, but I suspect people might bother him and diminish his enjoyment.
