Nice comments, ladies. I think that there is a general kind of movie that most of us like and than we keep comparing everything else to that. Like Maria, I think, likes Dramas a lot and when you're used to watching drama with strong screenplay, lots of attention on the change of the character's personality, it's maybe difficult to watch a movie like PoP and NOT look for the change and the drama.
I myself like ROM-COMS and easy, entertaining movies more, so I loved PoP and LAOD, but don't like BBM or Rendition as much.
Ain't it a wonderful thing that Jake has made movies to please everyone?

Tuesday, May 3, 2011 The Numbers Rating: 8.39 (64 votes) Theatrical Performance Total US Gross $90,759,676 International Gross $244,300,000 Worldwide Gross $335,059,676Home Market Performance US DVD Sales: $34,096,035 Weekly Breakdown Production Budget $200,000,000 So it was not that bad! At all. Again international gross much much much higher than American one. And as some says they made the best income from all the movies based on video game. So it's really good reason to make a sequel. I don't know what they wait for. For Dastan age too much to ride a horse even? ;D Actors really should know that a long time ahead to make plans. If Jake would need again few months to prepare himself for a role - they waste time! ;D Oh, my wishful thinking.

I read today that Ubisoft has founded their own movie studios near Paris now, so that they have better control over how their games are made into movies. First projects seem to be "Assasins Creed" and "Splinter Cell", but I keep my hopes up that PoP will get a sequel eventually...

I think the ubbisoft can not do anything about POP, because the adaptation rights to the big screen were purchased by Jerry Bruckheimer.
If you look at future projects of Jerry Bruckhemer on imdb, you will see that there is nothing in relation to a sequence of POP.
Prince of Persia was far below expectations in the U.S. box office. Earned only 90 million. For a sequel, the movie should have done just at the american box office 200 million or more.

This was posted on gyllenbabble and I hadn't seen it before, and Jake is sooooo cute in this. Check out how he mimics the girl at 1.50!
Man, I wish I could be the girl interviewing him.

I found on today's twitter some old Extra's interview - from May 10 2010. I never saw it before. Maybe you know it already. He talks, constantly joking, about POP making, a little bit about LAOD and SC. About his future role as Joe Namath - Broadway Joe - a very famous American football player - So far he didn't make it. At the end he's asked about his ideal woman. That's very cute. A video with that lovely interview is here, Jake looks great: teasquared.blogspot.com/2010/05/celebrity-tea-lover-jake-gyllenhaal.html
