Some more update of what we'll going to see: Jake Gyllenhaal's recent adventure trip to Iceland with survival expert Bear Grylls could not have come at a worse time for the movie star - the British adventure expert experienced the worst storms he had seen in a decade on the televised trek.
The Brokeback Mountain star followed in Will Ferrell's footsteps on the Discovery Channel series and agreed to test his endurance skills with a trip to Iceland, but even hardy Brit Grylls had no idea how treacherous the weather would be.
He says, "We had a jumbo jet blown sideways across the airport, whilst I was 5,000-feet up a mountain."
Gyllenhaal's Man Vs. Wild adventure will debut on TV in America on 11 July (11).

It doesn't really look like Jake was completely safe, hanging there on that rope. It was one thin extra rope, but as I understood it was for sending pulling message to Bear. Bravo Jake! I would never do it, having fear of heights. And he knew a camera was watching him, he couldn't even cry a little bit. I will never understand the love for climbing high mountains.

Thanks for posting, Mermon, although it looks like the video was deleted now. Luckily I saw it right before on WDW (even if it was without sound). To me too that looked like there was not a whole lot of safety precautions. Jake was so brave to do that!

Thanks for posting, Mermon, although it looks like the video was deleted now. Luckily I saw it right before on WDW (even if it was without sound). To me too that looked like there was not a whole lot of safety precautions. Jake was so brave to do that! That clip appeared on American TV last evening, on the Entertainment Tonight show. I saw it (with sound) and it was scary! I think Jake was terrified, crawling on that rope over the deep gorge, and that he was struggling hard not to panic. He says he has some fear of heights. But at least he got a bit of preparation for this adventure, meeting all the jumping challenges in PoP. The weather conditions were extreme. I praise Jake for his hardiness and courage. Bear Grylls said Jake was one of the fittest men in Hollywood and that he had done a really outstanding job. When they find a dead animal, Bear says it's a sheep. That may be the carcass Jake is dragging in images that were posted here a few days ago.
