MrsJakobGyllenhaal - - thank you, that's lovely scene. It hit me right away when I was watching it first time. - you wrote it so perfectly. That exactly how it was during that porch scene. Too bad she interrupted it by sending him upstairs. When he came back with her notebook he was in different world then. And we didn't have another chance to see them that close again till the end of the movie! By the way Hal is such a cute maths teacher, I bet a lot of students were interested in him. If I would be his student I would have taken some extra classes with him ;D, too improve my maths skills.

I totally agree with you, Mermon. I really suck at anthing beyond eighth grade maths, but I would have definatelly taken one of his classes, even if I failed (which I would have for sure cause I'd be preoccupied with staring at him instead of following his teaching) ;D
And it really is a pitty that Hal and Cathrine didn't have more chance to explore their relationship. I mean I understand that it would not have taken the movie any further along the story, but I still would have loved to look at it.

But we may write down continuation in our fantasy. She lost her home, so maybe he will help her to get it back, or help her to find something new and till that time he could let her stay with him. Under his wings she will recover perfectly and finally believe in herself. They both are maths skills so they will solve many exciting maths' problems together. Some in the bosom of nature, some in bed. ;D One day she will become maths' teacher like him, they will get married and have very wise and mentally completely healthy children. And be very happy together. How do you like it? ;D

I find the scene on the porch strange, i mean, IMO abit too corny, but maybe it's just me, i like scene much more tense.... About a sequel well why not?It coudl be like you both,Sasha and Mermon, said, but we can also going on with assumption in the sequel seculations thread I hate maths i don't know if Hal can helping me out to undestand better, but i do believe we're sliding easily into some anathomy private lesson LOL!

Maria, the less I would understand, the more additional lessons I would have to get - the more enjoyable, happy time with Hal. ;D The problem is, how to do it, that Hal wouldn't have thought I am kind of stupid. ;D With Jake it would be no problem, cause he was not good at maths at all. Jake could have teach me English, especially pronunciation.

I guess some agreement it coudl be possible, and Hal is a teacher and bring a lot of patinece with his student! ;D And at least anathomy is much more simple then english or maths

I saw Proof today again, with my daughter. For her it was first time. She likes Jake, but not too much, not like me. ;D. And she liked the movie. For me it was X-th time to see that. And I like it even more, despite I know the story and how it ends. I appreciate Gwyneth, Anthony and even Hope Davis (sister Claire) acting skill, not even mention Jake - it so obvious ;D. Watching I forget I see actors, I see characters. And music is good for me. I'm glad my daughter liked it, cause if someone doesn't like Jake's movie it makes me feel sad.
