To me this looks like a documentary of Jamie Foxx's life and since he has worked twice with Jake (Jarheard and the music video) probably Jake will be seen or maybe even interviewed in it. I don't expect Jake to play a major role thought...

You're welcome. Kate from WDW has a suggestion that the cast is like from "Blame it" clip. So maybe it's a kind of behind the scene material.
Anyway it's something new and we see it this year!

It's hard to believe that Reese, who is 14 years older than Taylor, was gossiping with her about Jake, in a way that the others could hear that. I don't know if Jake is vain. He's self confident for sure as anyone should be. Aware of him self, knowing his values. It comes with the age, as well as with the proper raising and with the acceptance and admiration coming from the other people. I don't know Jake personally, but he always looks to me as a person paying big attention to the person he's with at the moment. Interviewer, journalist, friends, girlfriends etc. He focuses on them, he doesn't seems self absorbed at all. But of course I may be wrong. I think, like Sasha said - in the movie business is normal to be a bit vain and self absorbed. It may even be helpful. On the other hand, if they didn't say anything like that about Jake, how bad they could feel after that gossip, thinking, that Jake could believe in that story and felt hurt about it. You've both expressed an important reality about actors. Unlike a painter, say, or a writer, the performing artist--whether actor, dancer, singer, or musician--is the work. Literally, their flesh and blood is what you get, and also their soul, if they're truly gifted. An actor must bring all of himself to an audition and to a performance: face, body, voice, walk, intelligence, and personality as well as native talent. Anyone who does this for a living is forced to focus on himself, to maintain and polish himself the way a painter details his canvas or a writer perfects his novel. Beyond that, there's the upkeep of the career itself: Is there a next project? Will it advance my career? Should I care? What's my image? What's my asking price? Can I afford to work for less? With all of that, it's a huge challenge to separate yourself, the human being, from the "product" that gets the jobs and appears before the public. Your profession demands that you be self-absorbed, that you pay constant attention to yourself. And if you're the star, the center, of vastly expensive productions, the pressure is intense. Lots of actors (and other performing artists) lose their way; nobody, but nobody, is more important than they are. (There are some terrific movies on this subject: the great classic All About Eve, and in recent years Almost Famous and America's Sweethearts.) From what we know of Jake, he's one of the lucky ones. Yes, he has to preserve his physique and looks (and health) and chart the course of his career, which takes a lot of self-absorption and some vanity, but he seems to have held onto his human values and to be able to relate to other people's needs and concerns. There he is, shopping at Whole Foods and the Apple Store, eating lunch by himself in a public restaurant, walking the road with his friends and his dog. These are normal activities, and there's no hint of pretentiousness. Naturally, that's only what we see--we can't ever hear him speak with his friends and family in private. Maybe he only talks about himself; maybe he can't attach any importance to a subject that isn't himself. But I rather doubt that. He seems like a good, decent guy, even if he has the failings that come with the job.

You have some good points. If he wants to keep working in Hollywood he going to have to up on certain things. I also agree that he hasn't falling and has held on to being human. Some stars can not function unless the have the spotlight on them at all times and when it stops shining the lose who they are and fall hard to the ground and some have lost their live because they lost the lime life. It seem that Jake has a good head and keep himself grounded.

Thanks for your statement, Evie, very well put. Also I think that Jake's family make a difference. His parents have concentrated on their lives and careers instead of getting their fame through their kids, like LiLo's parents or Britney Spear's mom and others. That should help you too.

Thats a good point...Not shoving him into acting and keeping him in school I think has help him be a down to earth person and very grounded.

Thanks for posting the Jamie Foxx video Mermon, Gyllenhaal is very very sexy in it! About the "Whterspoon issue" i never had a positive opinion of her, and when i've browsed accidnetally those gossip, honeslty? I've laught aloud, ;D as she was the one that break with Gyllenhaal and she's the one that get an husband quite fastly, and seem like now she regert it.... so in my pov there's no reason to express such harsh opinion about Gyllenhaal, even more on his private side, and not even classy, not that Whiterspoon had haver a lot of class, but she's started a new life. So now what?I wondering what was about the deal? As many already said from many, i didn't know Gyllenhaal personally, and maybe i will never do, but so far he was always fairest to everyone, even the most unknow collegue, or an interviewer, so surely nobody can spoke about his professionality. Also every artists are a bit vain, surely you choose this job as you have something to express, something to say, as you're a comunicator, and you do with your face, with your body, sending emotions and make alive characters, so what's the news in been young talented and a bit vain about himself? I don't see nothing wrong with it, and beside than that there's things we'll never know about Gyllenhaal's private life, and i'm fien with, as i'm not interested in, but staring at his way of doing, with press, paparazzi, at some event i don't think he have that much of negative nature, he had a solid family that grew up with some ideals, and with a certain kind of education. So far i don't see nothing such true in this Witherspoon portarit, so no need to worry about!

I was just making some assumptions, for my personal life experience the most you're talking about something, the most you know that inside you regret to di this or that thing. "Tongue hits where tooth hurts" ;D Surely we can make some guessing about the broke-up between Gyllenhaal and Witherspoon, not that this is a big deal, i mean it's not interesting, is something i can live without, but if now she have this harsh opinion about Gyllenhaal, sound a bit like she must find in him some flaw as she've let him go, not sure if this makes sense, and you get right i'm referring to harsh opinion of Witherspoon not to you Mermon I don't think honestly that Gyllenhaal leave quietly her, as he wishes to rainse a family and marry her, so i'm sure that was painfull for Gyllenhaal, surely much more than for miss "legally blonde" tsè....
