BTW, I will be changing my signature during this week since it doesn't work on a smaller scale...so be it. *sad face* Mine is 800 x 200, it doesn't stretch the forum. Yours doesn't have to be as small as it is now! QAFnewbie, I love OZ! And Chris Meloni, especially...

Dear Friends of the Arts Bureau (tAB), Hello! We have many exciting developments to share with you as we begin 2011! First off, our short film, thinking..., is now available for purchase through our new and improved website (www.theartsbureau.org). Thinking...screened both nationally and internationally at the Atlanta Film Festival, the Durango Film Festival, the Female Eye Festival, the NYC Downtown Shorts Festival, the NYU Shorts Festival in L.A., the Shambhala Center of Los Angeles’ Arts Festival, and most recently at the Ultimart Convention in Paris, France followed by a Q&A with its writer/director, Marci Adilman. We are incredibly excited to announce that our feature film, Lorton Lake, will finally be completed this summer. Please visit our Vimeo account to see our brand new trailer! Lorton Lake is the Arts Bureau’s first feature-length project. Written by Randy Harrison and Daniel Stessen and developed by a talented cast experienced in improvisation and collaboration, Lorton Lake was shot on high-definition video in three weeks on locations north of Syracuse, New York. Directed by Daniel Stessen, and art directed and photographed by Sam Gezari, the film features Randy Harrison, Marci Adilman, Christopher Stewart, Amanda Byron and Crystal Bock. A romance where everyone is in love with themselves, Lorton Lake follows frustrated writer Harry Dryan (Randy Harrison) as he returns to his rural childhood home from New York City to say farewell to his oldest friend Jack (Chris Stewart) and Jack’s fiancee, Anna (Marci Adilman), who are about to relocate to San Diego. In one prolonged and idiosyncratic weekend, the characters challenge and question each other’s accomplishments and plans while confronting the anxiety of success, the embarrassment of failure and the absurdity of dreams recalibrated to accommodate lowered expectations. Lorton Lake offers a bizarre and uniquely independent glimpse of several young Americans’ extended adolescence and their frustrated attempts to connect, understand themselves and their world, and finally move forward. We have a recently created a YouTube channel, a Vimeo channel and a Flickr account for the various short film, photography, and web content we are continually creating. We hope to use these avenues to get content out to you, our supporters, much faster and more frequently. We are very excited about this foray into new media and look forward to making exciting, inspiring, challenging projects for your enjoyment. Please take a look when you have a moment. We are in the process of developing a new production of Jessica Jill Turner’s Charlie Moose Makes His Move in Los Angeles in 2011. Charlie Moose Makes His Move is a play about imagination, memory and the dangers of living solely in the space where the two converge. Charlie Moose is a morbidly obese failed writer. He hasn’t moved from his bed in seven months. With the help of Simon, a friendless twelve-year-old boy, Charlie hopes to complete his masterpiece, "The Importunation of Honey Blank" – a novel loosely based on his obsession with an awkward stripper. If they can get past Simon’s mother, a wannabee sociopath, Charlie Moose just might finish the “Greatest Great American Novel,” and quite possibly, get out of bed. Part comic book, part romance novel, part carnival, Charlie Moose Makes His Move is relentlessly funny and tragic. As it assaults the audience with unforgettable characters, both offensive and sympathetic, it asks the question, “How safe is our own imagination?” The Arts Bureau has been increasingly busy making and performing music around New York City with member Randy Harrison appearing numerous times at Our Hit Parade, a monthly musical variety show hosted at Joe’s Pub (a venue of the Public Theatre/New York Shakespeare Festival), as well as performing at the Judy party at Public Assembly in Brooklyn, NY. Our newest Arts Bureau member, Brian Belukha, DJs and hosts parties throughout NYC under the name DJ Belukha. The Arts Bureau (tAB) has been privileged to lend some material support to the Judy party, a not-for-profit, roaming, queer dance party. Their most recent event, Muppets Take Judy, was given a beautiful photo feature in the Village Voice. It can currently be seen at the Village Voice’s website. As always, thank you so much for your continued support of our ongoing creative endeavors. We are eternally grateful. If you would like to make a donation, please visit our website (www.theartsbureau.org) and click on Support. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will ensure the completion of Lorton Lake, the production of Charlie Moose Makes His Move, and many other projects. Warmest regards, Marci Adilman Randy Harrison (tAB) Hi QAFnewbie Thanks for posting the link but I couldn't resist posting the whole letter when I received it from tAB, hope you didn't mind hon

I find it strange that SHOWTIME never reruns Queer as Folk, I mean they still own the show and it has been well received worldwide, why not re-show it. I think you should be glad you can´t see it on TV. Just imagine: QAF with commercial break! UNTHINKABLE!! I love my DVD box too, i´m currently watching the awful Ethan saga. Honestly, this is harder for me than 513. Btw am i the only one here who is still watching the show? Qafnewbie and Olivia thank you for the news! That´s a good way to start the new year. Hooray! I found this cute pic and i had to post it because Randy´s facial expression is so funny. Cwazy please keep your siggy - it´s irreplaceable!!

Olivia thanks for the newsletter. How do you sign up for that? I can't find anything on the tAB website (which I think is rather sparse actually). Maybe there is another site I should be looking for?
ETA The new siggies are amazing. I so do not have the skills or the patience to do things like that. Congratulations.

Are you a supporter of tAB Juno? if you are you should get the letter automatically, I was invited to join when Stacey did the online auction last year. I haven't found my way round the new tAB website yet but I'm sure the address will be there somewhere.

This is totally OFF TOPIC, but I had to post! Quatro has a new sister! Her name is Asali and she is an almost 2 month old baby pygmy hippo born at the Miami zoo. Asali means Honey in Swahili and it was love at first sight! She only weighs 44 lbs! *SQUEEEEEEE* Here is a link for the entire article: www.justnews.com/furryfriends/26366978/detail.htmlBack on topic: Do we know which eps of HC Gale will appear in?

I confess - that piccie of the hippo beats that last piccie of Randy for adorableness - sorry, Randysgirl ! As for the latest Gale HC episode, I'm not sure Grapes, maybe someone with far more knowledge of these matters can help?

Morning Brew - Thursday, January 6: A new bisexual "Bad Girl," Leisha Hailey in a horror film with another familiar face Leisha Hailey is in an upcoming horror film called Fertile Ground. Why I like this movie already: She plays the wife of Gale Harold (aka Brian Kinney from Queer as Folk). This is a match made in gay Showtime veteran Heaven. Here's the description: Emily (Hailey) and Nate Weaver (Harold) leave the city for the rural comfort of Nate's ancestral home in New Hampshire. There, isolated and haunted by inexplicable noises and horrifying visions, Emily learns she's pregnant while Nate is possessed by the homicidal spirit of his forbearers. In a house haunted by past victims, Emily learns that she's the latest target in a murderous tradition. Check out this cool making-of video, too. www.afterellen.com/column/morning-brew/2011-01-06

I have wondered if casting for this was intentional or if they picked both of them coincidentally? Any thoughts?
