Thank you for pictures, Stephanie! I like his look a la Detective Loki's hair + growing, but still nice beard. The immortal black shoes are a mystery to me. It must be some secret hiding behind Jake's wearing them. ;D A kind of good luck fetish? LOL!

Thank you for pictures, Stephanie! I like his look a la Detective Loki's hair + growing, but still nice beard. The immortal black shoes are a mystery to me. It must be some secret hiding behind Jake's wearing them. ;D A kind of good luck fetish? LOL! How I wish he would throw those shoes away! He certainly has better ones, because he's been seen wearing them. I also wondered about the button-down shirt, which seems to be denim, a very strange choice with the designer suit. Like a lot of other men, Jake must really hate ties. I've always believed Jake knows exactly how he looks (as opposed to being a guy who hasn't a clue), so that when he puts himself together he understands the impression he's giving. I find this look to be a mash-up of Well, it's a nice occasion so I'll make some kind of effort and Don't expect me to try to look like everybody else and make myself uncomfortable doing it. There's a certain defiance in that, IMO. The carelessness disappoints me. Jake always looks so sensational when he dresses properly for a special occasion. I like the hair, but the beard looks ragged to me. I enlarged one of the head shots to get a closer look at the white patch in the beard, and you can see that it's not well-trimmed around the cheeks and mustache. There are also a few more white hairs along the chin line toward the center. Do I hear the wings of time flapping around Jake's head?

So I enlarged his face' pictures as well and I, on the contrary, find his beard very nice combed, shining, with an interesting ginger color. But his silver patch doesn't obey. Grows differently. His eyes, when enlarged, are so deep and irresistible. One could sink in them.

Well, Jake is 32- I got my first grey hair at 28.... So nothing 'ragged' about it. It's just natural My dad was nearly completely grey at 35 *shrugs*

Well, Jake is 32- I got my first grey hair at 28.... So nothing 'ragged' about it. It's just natural My dad was nearly completely grey at 35 *shrugs* I know, going gray is genetically programmed. A number of my family members were almost white at 40, and I have more than a few silver threads myself. I was half-serious about this, but it does seem to have happened very suddenly with Jake, unless he's been covering it up. I don't recall noticing that little white patch till just a few months ago. When I said "ragged" I was referring to the beard grooming. Take a look at the Edible Schoolyard pictures from about a month ago. Some closeups of Jake show a cleanly trimmed line of beard along his cheeks--probably from a visit to the barber. That's how I like to see his facial hair. But hey, that's just me. Of course he'll look fantastic when he gets gray. But for me he'll always be Sam in TDAT (in which, in fact, his hair was tinted black).
