From these pictures of Suri Cruise, I get the impression the parents are letting the child think she's an adult. She's adopting a grown-up look and behavior that is not appropriate for a little girl. Thanks for the compliment too, Evie. I heard (and I don't know if it's true) that Scientologie believes that kids are grown ups stuck in a body too little for them, that's why they act up so much. It's say they try to treat children as much as a grown up as possible, e.g. letting them dress in whatever style they want, letting them eat whatever they think is fine. Suri gets to stay up quite late, she can be seen in restaurants around midnight all the time - because for their parents she's an adult trapped in her body. But I think that's not true. Kids are little because they need to learn things. If humans were supposed to care for themselves as kids already they would know how to do it, like turtles and other animals are left alone by their parents and still know how to survive. I strongly believe that children like Suri will have trouble as adults because they have not learned how to fit in and how to respect boundaries, because they never had to as a kid.

I agree 110 percent with everything you say. I did not know that about Scientology's view of children. The idea that children are simply little adults is a throwback to the Victorian era. Western society proved that notion to be false and abandoned it many decades ago. Top scientists throughout the world study babies and children all the time, and have found some astonishing features of human development. One of the latest possibilities is that the human brain doesn't reach full maturity until the early 20s. When some teenagers do crazy things and then say they don't know why they did them, it may literally be true. They don't know what they were thinking because they actually can't remember thinking anything. It certainly seems as if Suri Cruise is missing her own childhood. It will be no surprise to hear that she's become a total terror to her parents by the time she's 16.

My husband has read books on cults, & Scientology is a "science fiction Cult" started by L. Ron Hubbard. There have been allegations of secrecy & deaths of "higher ups" who wanted to leave. In other words, you can't just walk out. I feel like Katie got herself into something that she knew nothing about & is "stuck".

To maria...thanks for you support. I Know that we try to share what we can about Jake...tiring to pass alittle of what I find on. Ummm..I don't know much about Scientology. It just sound creepy. I'm not sure about them Killing others if they leave. That doesn't right but one never knows. If they believe that children are adults trapped, they DO have another thing coming...Kids must have structure in there lives...going to bed at a certain time...thing like that or they will behave poorly when they get older....Tom and Kate will have some problems when Suri is older if the keep going with out boundaries set.

Actually I don't mind if Tom and Katie will have problems, as they will have to sleep in the bed they made for themselves. It's Suri I'm worried about. That sweet little girl has done nothing wrong, it's not her fault she was born into that family, yet it looks like she's facing a youth of alcohol and drug abuse.

Check out the book "Kingdom of the Cults" by Walter Martin & Hank Hannegraf. Personally, I don't think that Katie had a clue what she was in for.

Ron Hubbard in Wikipedia; it's quite informative. Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, apparently had no solid training or certification in any scientific discipline. He seems to have made up his theories and practices out of his own head. What I have heard and read about them doesn't strike me as being useful for anything. High-profile followers like John Travolta and Tom Cruise credit Scientology with giving purpose to their lives. I can't argue that, of course, but in Cruise's case Scientology has produced some strange results.

Thanks so much for the tips Anita, i know something very very vague, i guess that is quite dangerous, as at least Scientology is just based on somke, the alien stuff and all the rest, the machine that estimate something, there's nothing that can testing your soul, it's all such weird.... Simply nobody can have all the reply to all the questions...and having reply sometimes doens't mean peace of soul... i guess that is about balance and saneness, emotionally and mentally....that should be the basement of any religion.... as ancient romans said "Mens sanae in corpore sanae"

Jake Gyllenhaal's Close Call—Gets Caught in South L.A. Gang Shooting!Today 7:46 AM PDT by Marianne Garvey Splash News First the Icelandic wilderness and now a wild gang shootout? Jake Gyllenhaal sure is living on the edge. Last night, the actor's attempt at Method acting for his new cop flick took a frightening turn as his ride-along with the LAPD landed him at the scene of a gang shooting. MORE: Is Jake in a bromance? E! News confirms that the hunky actor, playing a cop in his latest film, End of Watch, were on a preapproved ride-along with the Los Angeles Police Department when officer Tami Bauman received a call to report to an antigang rally, where gunfire had broken out, and which had left an alleged gang-banger wounded by a rival clan. "Jake is doing research for End of Watch and has been amazed by the professionalism of the LAPD," his publicist told E! News. Gyllenhaal and costar Michael Pena, who play two police officers in a long-term friendship, had been doing some real-life research for the roles, and were both shadowing cops on patrol overnight, his rep confirms to E! News. They didn't get as close to the action as first thought, however, as they arrived to the Summer Night Lights event in South Los Angeles—a program supposed to reduce gang violence by keeping public parks open late and offering food and activities—after the shooting had taken place. By the time they got to Van Ness Park, where the shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m., the victim was already down on the ground and the suspects had fled. Bullets were no longer flying upon their arrival, and the LAPD simply began their investigation into the incident. The victim has since been hospitalized in stable condition with graze wounds to his lip and arm. End of Watch is slated to hit theaters in 2013. With all this front-row action for Jake, we're expecting nothing less than an Oscar nomination. . Read more: www.eonline.com/uberblog/b252268_jake_gyllenhaals_close_callmdashgets.html#ixzz1S6dtdVXb

I know I did this backwards, but Jake and Pina was in a ride along with the LA PD and was st the scene of a gun fight.
Thanks for the info on Hubbard...I know he started to think about his view when he was healing at a hospital with other wounded officers.
I see your point on Suri Sasha...she could end up doing harsh things to herself if they don't set boundaries
