I think I remember you, Annie, as we are both from Germany and Sasha is such a rare name for girls here.
BTW - Mermon - funny I never read your "real" first name before. Does Marzena have a special meaning. Since I'm really bad with names though (I keep forgetting that sword's name is Sonia too), I will most likely still call you Mermon, hope you don't mind.

How many times have you been asked if your mom was a fan of "Schwarzwaldklinik" or "Sascha Hehn". I am not sad that this show is not known by the younger generation...

Gheez, you're freaking me out (going with Michelle aka Christina).
I'm going to be 33 in September! I know, it's so terrible when people think you made a mistake spelling your OWN name. I used to hate it when I was a kid, now I think it's cool to have a special name. I still gave my kids a "regular" name and a funky second one - it's their choice now.

nawww I don't bite - most of the times yeah it's nice to not be a melanie or anything like that (sorry to all melanies on here but I like my name for it's specialty) I don't have kids yet, but I have some naming ideas - and they are special names too 8) How are your funky second names?? (If you like to tell - if not thats just fine )

Funky in the eye of the beholder that is.
My daughter is called "TABEA" and my son is called "HENRY" (I know that's not funky in a traditional sense but for Bavaria it is quite unusual.) Both their first names are within the top ten of their birth year, so they'll run into loads of kids with the same name.

they are beautiful names I think about Nakoa-Angel for a boy and Summer-Grace / Angel-Grace for a girl ... but it also depends on the last name if I'm going to marry (it shall fit to the last name, so if it is a german schmidt it won't fit to well )

I think those are nice names, though I have to admit I am not a big fan of english names in a traditional german setting (and Bavaria is the worst for that matter). I know that's odd, having an english name myself. And if I were to live in a big city like Berlin or so, I might have chosen differently. That's why I was so picky about the name they are called by, I didn't want them to be the only ones with english names in a school full of Korbinians, Quirins, Franziskas and Theresas (that's how south and rural I live!).

And there are plenty names with a foreign sound for germans too like the typical Kevin *rollswithhereyes* If anyone considers Kevin a good choice for a kid being born in Germany NOW they might reconsider having a child altogether. I like Kevin as a name, being a big fan of Kevin Spacey, but you're chances of getting a decent job in Germany are just beyond bad with that name!
