If you want to be posting something related to Source Code that is NOT in any of the trailers, please use this SC-thread. Please use this thread also for reviews that contain spoilers. Reviews in the other SC thread should NOT talk about the plot or anything like that either. You are also welcome to discuss open questions about SC (trying to solve the mystery) HERE too. Thanks everybody for being so kind to the poor people that have to wait another two months to be able to see it!

I don't know how quickly somebody will reply here, but there has been one thing itching in my fingers to discuss for a long time but I didn't dare to write it in the other thread as it's a major spoiler:
I read that somebody suggested that Jake is already dead at the beginning of the movie, being killed in action in Afganistan. That the SC only works with dead people. But that he can continue to live in whatever alternate universe he stays in. That would explain how he can continue a romance with somebody we know is dead for sure (Christina). I am so looking forward to see if that is true or not.

I don't kow really, i don't read that much, jumped in my mind also Donnie Darko, same question, he's dead sicne the start of the movie or not? If it's in that way, we can fairly consider that could be chance, that's explain why he never been in touch direclty with anyone that lead the Source Code project, they're talking behind a glass.....

Good point, Maria. I never thought about that. Jake dies/is dead in DD? Really? Maybe I need to watch that movie after all.
Also a lot of critics talked about how the characters of Vera and Jeffrey don't show their real intentions until the end. I wonder how they could be anything but trying to prevent the second bomb. I mean they wouldn't be involved with the bombing, right? So what other motive could they have?
There are so many questions that I want to find answers to!

About Donnie Darko, it was a verly long specualtion about this, IMO Donnie is already died when movie sarts, so maybe Colter Stevens? About the real intentions of Carol Cpt. Goodwin and Dr. Rutledge could be different and convergent, i mean, Dr. Rutledge wants to see if the system ould be useful while Carol Cpt. Goodwin wants, maybe, to build a career discovering how to prevent the attack? At least one character is a soldier, and the other a scientist , both of them want the experiment to works to show themselves skilled and make some career.

True, but that still wouldn't make them "evil", right? I wonder if there is any foul play involved?

It's what i'm thinking about, i mean, maybe audience have less problem figuring out characters that are all negative, or all positive, it's a trend of the latest 5 years in cimena industry/movies/screenplay/plot to build characters that acting in several different shades, bad and good at the same time.... I guess them are much more interesting and less stereotypied. So why not Carol Cpt. Goodwin and Dr. Rutledge could be like that, surely they have some purposes on top of their list to fullfilled, and maybe Cpt Colter Steven isn't at the top of their list...

Very true, Maria. Also I think that kind of character is more realistic. No human being (well maybe with very few exceptions) is just bad or just good. To show both sides makes it easier to relate to someone.

Here's an interview with Jake that - according to WDW is very spoilery and should not be read until you've seen the movie. I'm posting it anyways, so I won't forget to read it after I've seen the movie! :-) www.joblo.com/index.php?id=36420]/url]

Last night i've take a look to an interview about SC on YouTube, and there's some scene showed, funny as seems that character, beside Cpt. Colter, have no idea that vent changes a bit, and repaet allway the same actions.....

I suppose they would do the same things over and over as for them nothing really changes until Colter behaves differently - like the butterfly effect...
