Wow, crazy news! Didn't Jake say in an interview while promoting LAOD (I think) that Bear called/contacted him to say he liked the beard Jake was growing over the summer? Lol. He probably thought Jake looked like he could be a wild survival man instructor too. Anyway, do not worry, I highly doubt Jake would be doing anything too crazy. Bear has done some crazy crazy things on his show, but he's the professional, and it's his show. I remember when Will Ferrell was a guest star, it was all just fun. Bear did all the work, and Ferrell was just along for the ride, making it funny along the way. I'm sure Stiller's guest spot was the same way. I'm pretty sure the celebrities that join Grylls for an episode are well taken care of. And while, yes, Bear goes to very rough/dangerous terrains, we must remember it is a reality tv show. Bear is an expert, and I'm sure well protected. He's got a whole crew with him. Like I said, Jake will probably be just along for the ride. I don't think producers want to rough up their celebrity guest stars too much. I don't think this has been mentioned yet, but it's being reported that Jake has landed the lead role in a gritty cop drama. I believe Variety dropped the news, but I saw it on justjared. Interesting, right? I've been dying to know what Jake's next role was going to be. I love that Jake is up for pretty much anything. Totally agree, Marie, that the object should and undoubtedly will be to keep the celebrity guest safe. I have never seen this show, so I don't have an inkling as to how crazy this Bear guy is. It's good to know he isn't quite as reckless as Steve Erwin was. I would definitely expect Jake to provide the smart remarks and goofiness. Yay! What channel does this show appear on? I assume it's cable. Hope this news about Jake's new role is true. Even so, we'll have to wait till 2012 to see him in another film. Guess we'll be visitng the DVDs a lot till then (after Source Code, I mean).

Marie, you comforted me a bit. I'm just not so sure if Jake will stick to be along a ride. I think he likes to be challenged. we will see. at least we have something else to wait for.

Evie: Hey girl, how's it going? Anyway, Bear isn't as extreme as Irwin was, in the sense that Irwin seemed to seek out danger, ie wrestling crocs. But then again, he was a zoologist, that was his thing. Bear's show is basically about showing people how to survive if they were to find themselves in a very bad situation stranded somewhere. He's done crazy things in the sense that he has killed and eaten some pretty sick things; but that is not always in every episode. The only episode I remember where it seemed like he was in real danger involved a raft he made and a hungry shark. But, it's mostly just a what to do if you find yourself in this situation type show. And if he's got a guest with him, whom is not a survivalist specialist, it's nothing too serious. And in the US it comes on cable, on the discovery channel. Mind you I haven't seen every episode, but I don't think it's anything to worry about. You could probably youtube Ferrell's guest appearance. And I hope the movie rumor is true. He hasn't had a new movie gig in awhile. mermon: Glad to help. And you are right, Jake seems to be up for anything, but I'm sure everything with be safe and fun. Just like a roughin' it camping trip. It'll be interesting for sure.

^ Yupp! I haven't seen the show in awhile, but I'm sure not much has changed. I love that Jake does so many different things. It is something new to look forward to. On one episode Bear Grylls was in the artic somewhere, and fell in the ice cold water, so he had to strip down fully to get the wet clothes off. Maybe Jake will do that! Haha, here goes my dirty thoughts again...

^ Lol. You know the only few times I've actually ever dreamed about Jake have been very weird. Here's a little snippet of what Michelle Monaghan has to say about our boy: www.flare.com/blog/23?tg=Source%20CodeI love the brief description. 50/50 good and bad boy is an excellent observation. By the way I got the link off of gyllenbabble. They always find the best Jake stuff.

Remember how he said he would love to dive with walruses in the antartic for his 30th birthday. Maybe that will be his chance!?

Of course, there's also his looks, his body, his talent, his sexiness... If he were just another pretty face I wouldn't be here writing this! I hope the report is right about Source Code being a winner. Jake deserves it. LAOD wasn't a flop, certainly, but he could use a real box-office smash at this point.
