Oh, wow, Maria, I read this just now. I never thought that BBM could have a sequel, but that sounds very realistic. Although I have to admit that I kept waiting for the part where Bobby and Alma jr. keep falling in love. Then I realised that Alma is married at that point. But that would be kind of a resemblance to Ennis and Jack. That she loves a man but thinks she cannot be with him because she is already with someone else. Maybe she can talk to her father about her problem and finally he tells her to choose her love no matter the consequences and not throw her life away like he did with only memories left to dwell on.

WOW thansk so much Sasha for all your compliments, ;D Initially i thinked that a love affair between Bobby and Alma could be possible, but then i'll quit to put in my story for the possibly sequel as otherwise, as you underline, it coudl resemblances too much to BBM even if an axiom between Jack and Ennis and their sons would not be bad. Maybe at this time it could be different, i also thinked something more dramatic, Alma's husband discover that his stepfather is homsoexual, split from Alma, she maybe already start feeling something for Bobby, but try to deined her feelings to make her marriage works, so out of money and in needs of some helps for her father as well, Alma tell all to Bobby, he offers to take care of them, the main gags coudl be: "Your father an mine couldn't be happy together Alma, but i'm not willing to make happens another Brokeback Mountain for us, i'm not willing to do that, i'm not willing to let you go,we can be happy Alma, just take my hand and follow me, down to Texas, we can forever reviving the love of our reciprocal Fathers, in our love. " <3<3<3<3

You're right, a love story between Alma and Bobby would make this close to the original BBM but I like it when a sequel is close to the first movie.
That's very touching. I think that would work.

You know, the only sad thing about it would be that Heath could not play Ennis anymore. So they would have to find a new actor and I am not sure if it would be the same then...

I like the idea of Alma jr and Bobby together, like an recompense for not happy love of their fathers. Jack would be happy from the grave. And Ennis of course. Too bad Ennis couldn't be played by Heath anymore. It could be like an almost magic, powerful force was pushing them toward each other. I've just read your comment Sasha and it looks like we had the same idea about Heath at the same moment almost.

That quote comes in handy a lot of times, doesn't it?

Exactly! I will link that line with Jake and his look at that moment, forever. And it's very handy, as you've said.

Actually, that line will be my "Jake-line" for all times. Somebody (maybe it was you anyway) posted a link of the "Today show" with Jon Steward a couple of weeks ago and Jake uses this line even back then in RL! I thought it was the cuttest thing!

That was not me. I have to find it and listen to this. That line in his mouth - charming. In my language it doesn't sound so well. Actually it is something in those words together "This is nice" - I just like the sound of that, I like to repeat it up loud. It has good tune.

Oh, thank you for that! I'll check. That's fantastic interview, maybe you're right and I brought it here. Yes "It's nice" sounds almost the same with his great voice.

I don't mind that much that Ledger couldn't play the Ennis role, sorry girls, as the sequel as i imagine it, is based mostly on Jack ashes and Bobby and Alma lifes, not sure if this makes sense but this supposed sequel could be much more into sons view then the rest, sure some flashback moment would be great but not that much, as at that time Jack could be the main character, at least some cutted scenes could comes handy or just some effects for Ennis's scenes.
