No, i´m pretty sure it´s Strunkheide. It was the biggest ammunitions dump of the US airforce. Randy pronounced it mistakenly like Strunkheim. Greta,Spangdahlem would be logical but i don´t think he said that. This video is not my favourite (i like the "Shake me down" performance better). Oh and just for the record: nobody in Germany wears Lederhosen, except for the Bavarians! ;D Hi Elly, I still lurk here. I thought of you after seeing Randy's latest and coming here. I don't know if you're Catholic, but if so Randy's skit might have been doubly offensive. I hope it wasn't offensive to you. I think he's meaning to criticise the Catholic Church and the current Pope only. He's just using a few cultural stereotypes as props (it's only German/Bavarian stereotyping because the Pope happens to be German - otherwise Randy would probably be using Italian stereotying) . I cringe when non-Australian comedians send up Australians, because the accent is always wrong and the stereotyping always really clunky. Anyway, I hope it wasn't too awful for you. I love the song Randy sang and I thought he sang it very well. As for the anti-Catholic Church/Pope sentiments: as a lapsed Catholic I couldn't agree with Randy more. Many "rank-and-file" Catholics do wonderful work all around the world, but the Pope/VaticanCatholic hierachy in each country does much damage IMO. The Pope's statement on condoms with respect to Africa makes me particularly sad/angry. And as one who knows of many cases where the Australian Catholic Church has protected paedophile priests and other Catholic workers, I think the Pope well and truly deserves this type of comedic treatment.

I was just looking at some of Randy's other OHP performances and I have to say that this most recent one is not my fav and it almost seemed like I could barely hear Randy's voice at times. I think my fav is the one with Sara when they are in the boxing outfits. I think the Mike Posner and the Caged Elephant songs really showcased his talent so much more than this one.
I cannot wait to see him in Tommy, I know he will be amazing!! ;D

Much better sound. You can't miss his voice. This was one of his strongest vocal performances of any he has done.

Hi lilacwine! I´m glad you´re still here with us. I think Randy´s recent performance was extremely borderline but it doesn´t really offend me because a) i am not Catholic, i am Protestant and b) i think it´s his artistic license to do that. He is a gay man which is supposedly why he rejects the Catholic Church and the pope. The church is still homophobic. Nevertheless, i decided to never watch it again not least because of his outrageous hairdo. I agree with you, Randysgirl, he will be amazing in Tommy! I can´t wait to hear your report. You´re so lucky to see it! I go green with envy. Juno & Olivia how was the big fat royal wedding? Is London going back to normal? We went to see The Kids Are All Right yesterday. It´s such a good movie i can recommend it. Happy Saturday everyone.

Kate is going to be as popular and loved as ever Diana was. Don't care about her official title Duchess of Cambridge, we will all call her Princess Kate and blow the protocol.

The Catholic Church has a number other problems besides homophobia, which Randy also appears to be very passionate about. I'm no expert on Joe's Pub's Hit Parade, but most acts seem to use very irreverent/borderline humour. It isn't my favourite style of humour, but if there is a message there somewhere I'll go with it. I went with Randy's pre-song skit (though maybe it's just as well I can't decipher some of the words!) I agree that the hair *is* still a problem. It's the fault of that perm. There is still a little of it there. Elly, moving on to something we do agree on at the moment: I loved "The kids are alright" too. I love Annette Benning in everything I've seen her in, and it's a very good film.

I´m glad we agree lilacwine. I just love Randy so much, i forgive him almost anything. Juno, i saw the wedding a little later because i had to go to seminars. But some cheeky classmates left around 11 am to watch it on the big screen outside. It was fairytale-like. Here comes my gif of the day. I´m so sorry that Gale left NYC already. I hope he´s coming back soon.

I spent yesterday watching QAF and trying to hide from the wedding, it is still being rammed down out throats today, being a republican I wouldn't go so far as off with there heads but would be glad to see the back of them all
Randy and Gale as Brian and Justin could show them a thing or two about kissing

Does anyone notice though that when he has kissing scenes with his female co-stars, he kiss's differently than he did with Randy. Or is it just me? ;D
