Thank you for the trailer Juno! To quote Dr. Houseman, "when I am wrong, I say I'm wrong." Awww... you´re such a sweetheart! Give me a hug! I like the first pic you posted. You can see Michelle´s panties! Cwazy Brian with the scarf is stunning!!! Thanks for sharing.

Hmm....I thought Gale wasn't going to be in HC for a few weeks? Whatever - I'm finding it increasingly difficult to sit through an hour of cheerleader shite just so I can get my 2 min Gale fix! On another note entirely.... Does anyone know where this BTS Footage of Gale and Randy is from? It's driving me crazy! rafaboreanaz.tumblr.com/post/2541808704

I hope it won´t bother anyone here too much, but I have a question for you, native English speakers... please help me I've been reading a fanfic and I've come to a certain expression now second time already and I don't understand what it means... I kind of know what they're talking about out of context, but... just kind of... So, it's this sentence: “Yeah, that’s fathers for you.” He offered. and for you to see the context: Brian furrowed his eyebrows. “What about your Dad? Not a big fan of you being a musician?” Brian recalled hearing his name a couple years ago when Jennifer was going through her divorce. Justin shook his head.
“More like not a big fan of me being a fag. We haven’t really spoken since he kicked me out when I was seventeen. So I’d be surprised if he showed up.” He took a sip of his coffee. Brian stared at Justin. It was a wonder the kid was so well-adjusted, after being abandoned by his father, and attacked… ‘Strong little bugger’ he thought.
“Yeah, that’s fathers for you.” He offered.
Justin nodded. “I take it that your father’s not a fan of your sexuality either?”Hmm... I feel a little dumb now, but I now you're lovely people and you'll help me

Hi all. Thanks for the Collin Firth discussion, obviously I am a big fan as well. I really hope he wins the Academy Award this time, he sooo deserves it. ;D I was just noticing that in many of the pics of Gale he looks like such a "Hot mess." That term is so appropriate for him. I was also thinking that with his personality quirks, as I like to call them, it would be pretty difficult to sustain a long-term romantic relationship with him. (In my opinion) I mean he seems like one of those men that you would love to have a hot, steamy affair with but overtime his cynicism and paranoia would probably wear on you. Making it easier to just be friends. I could be wrong, but I feel that Gale is one of those people who are constantly evolving and if you do not evolve with him, he will leave you in the dust. Who knows what Gale will present to us even one, two or three years from now. Just my mini character study with my limited knowledge. The social worker in me, just loves to try to get into people's heads. ;D

A different way of saying that would be: "That is typical of fathers" or "Fathers are like that."

Whatever - I'm finding it increasingly difficult to sit through an hour of cheerleader shite just so I can get my 2 min Gale fix! I understand he has a much bigger part in next week's episode. Then he will take a break before returning with another storyline. So, still lots to look forward to.

Hi there Merlinkitten, I love CF too ! (especially PP, but for all sorts of other things also). I hope he gets the Oscar. But, Merkitten, I would prefer to say “a mutual love of Gale, Randy and Colin Firth” (but maybe you don’t love poor Randy quite so much?). I vaguely remember “Heartbreak High” but not Callen Mulvey – sorry. I just looked up the IMDB. He was Mark Moran in “Underbelly”. OK, I know him from that. Thanks for your correction the other day regarding the fan in the coffee shop who accosted Gale. Yes, I see it was Minneapolis, not the Berkshires. I did like reading that fan’s reports, but there is no way I would ever approach Gale or Randy like that (or even after a play). I think it would be a cringeworthy experience. I’d be quite happy to sneak a look at either one of them though (I saw David Stratton reading a film magazine in a restaurant today, but that doesn’t really cut it, does it?).

Qafnewbie [ "Thanks for the review barbara. It makes me sooooo sad. I just don´t get why Gale is wasting his talent for these kind of movies and cheerleader series. He could do it much better. I know we had this discussion already... but it makes me crazy. It's a mystery to me. "
Gale like most other actors goes where the job is. Because of the lousy economy studios are making less and less films and many established actors have switched to doing TV and so the competition is horrific. I'd like to see him do better projects too but I'm just glad he's working...thousands and thousands of actors aren't.

Barbara wow- you were in Germany in 1964? Is that a typo? Anyways, i´m so happy for you that you had this wonderful experience with Gale. It´s so sweet that he remembered you. " He remembered the book I gave him in Boston. It was a book of Alan Ginsberg's photographs -- Gale has said he likes William Burroughs - Burroughs and Ginsberg were great friends and there were a lot of pics of him in the book. He may have remembered me also because I have grey hair:) I lived in Germany for 1 1/2 years, in Aschaffenberg, near Frankfurt. My husband at the time was in the Army. I really loved it, lots of chances to travel through Europe in that time.

"and Gale what is with the shiny suit, pink shirt and tie fine but the shiny suit is a no no" The suit looked awful in pics but from those fans who saw him that night at the Grammercy Hotel, it looked great, it wasnt really shiny. I've been told that it was a vintage suit brought back from Paris for him by a friend.

[ I adored A single man too. Confession- Colin Firth was my very first celeb crush - I fell for him when he played Mr Darcy in P and P.....please tell me I'm not the only one! You are not the only one. I've seen a lot of Colin Firth's films and just saw a dynamite interview he did on Inside The Actor's Studio on TV. A Single Man might just be his very best. The picture itself wasnt one of excellence imo, but his acting was on a par with the very best. The scene where the camera stays on him and he doesnt say anything for a long time was pure genius. His face says it all. He's great also in The King's Speech.
