You are lucky, Els that doctors diagnosed that fibromyalgia. I think that illness is a kind of rheumatism, but more complicated . I think tai chi is a good idea, cause generally moving is helpful. I heard also about ginger - is good for those diseases. It warms up body from inside.
Good luck with your therapy!

Sorry to hear that the diagnosis is now final, Els. Good for you to find a way to deal with it positively. I think that should help you feel better too. I hope the winter will not be too harsh on you.

Thanks so much Mermon! Yes it is indeed some kind of rheumatism but complicated, doctors still don't perfectly know what it is and what exactly causes it. Thanks for the tip about ginger, I didn't know that, I'll certaintly try it! I'm feeling very good with the tai chi indeed Thank you so much for your sweet words, Sasha!

Els - ginger works as an analgesic, stops nausea, headaches and rheumatic pains. There are some medicaments with ginger for rheumatism. But it's simpler to add ginger to everything possible. It goes well with few kind of soups, chicken broth for example, with meat - like pork or chicken. Some salads. There are ginger teas. And you can make a drink with a water, honey, lemon juice and ginger. Very healthy during winter time. Take care!
Sorry for that off topic. ;D
