Hey everyone!
It's been a while since I've started a thread here, but I need some help. I'm trying to figure out how to purchase tickets for Jake's play coming up, "If it's there, I haven't found it yet."
So far, I've googled sites where to buy tickets, and one of them says that you have to become a "member" and get a purchase pack of tickets or donate a bunch of money to see it!
If anyone has purchased tickets yet, can you let me know where you got them? Or is there any other way to get tickets for it? It would just be 2 tickets I'd want to get. Any advice is appreciated!
thanks!

Go to Broadway.com for any updates on the show and do a quick search for the title. I just did, and it says tickets for the play are not available yet. It's an Off-Broadway production by the Roundabout Theater Company. The Roundabout presents plays nearly all year, and I think there's a membership deal where you can buy tickets for the season of plays at some kind of discount. Maybe that's what you found when you searched.
Broadway.com will eventually have a link to where you can get tickets. These are likely to be through Ticketmaster and/or Telecharge. Also, newspaper ads (I myself will look in the NY Times) will tell you how/where to get tickets. If you are in NYC, you can also go to the box office at the theater itself (Laura Pels Theatre), and may even be able to buy tickets at the Tkts booth on Broadway and 47th Street; these would be for the same day's performance. I'm not totally sure about this, but performances during the preview period (the interval before the official opening date) may have a somewhat lower ticket price.
All ticket sources except the box office charge fees for services above and beyond the cost of the ticket(s). Some of these fees are outrageous, IMO.

A friend of mine spoke to one of the girls at the Roundabout theater the other day. She told him that it is not yet certain that tickets will be sold to the public AT ALL. Right now the only way to get tickets is to - either donate (which is an insanely high amount for reg. fans with little money) or - buy a subscription, which includes tickets to a total of 5 plays (Jake's and 4 others). I would not count of selling the tickets for the other 4 shows easily, as I have already heard from a lot of people on twitter that they are planning on doing exactly that. So resale value of those tickets will be sort of low. If you cannot afford the subscription without selling the other 4 tickets for the list price, please rethink it. I am a huge fan and would give a lot to see Jake on stage, but I think in times of uncertain economy we should all remain reasonable with what we spend money on. BTW - you only need one subscription to get 2 tickets. If you are looking for more information or updates, this blog may be a place to keep looking at: gyllencrazy.wordpress.com/The guy who writes it, is looking for tickets for himself as well and will post any useful information and updates for other fans.
