I guess this is the main difference, simply if the movie was bad, even if Gyllenhaal is part f the cast, to me the movie did't worth, even if he's sexy, and i like him as man, to me the main interest is how he's acting, i'm not so much interested in Gyllenhaal "bedoroom business" LOL ;D it's weird as in sex/romantic/kissing scenes i didn't see Gyllenhaal, but i see his charcther, i try to explain, when Jack Twst kissed and touching Ennis DelMar, and pull him down to his chest i see his fear, his passion, his pain, same for the reunion kiss. When Jamie kissed Maggie i see his desire, and i see the fear of Maggie, and so it goes, i'm completely stuck in the movie, i see how the story going on, i figure their emotions <3 I agree Sasha that something of you still remans in everything you do, even if you try to faking, or acting, but it's just a smaller smaller part

Thanks for posting. I agree with alot of what has been said already and I believe that those scenes in movies are the hardest to make. You really have to make it look and feel real. I believe that acton scene are a lot easier.

Part of it will also be, that we all know, how kissing and sex work from our own experience, so we know when something is faked badly. With action - most of us will never have been in a sword fight or a blowing up train, so we are more likely to "believe" what the filmmaker tell us it looks like for real.
Same with me as with Mermon - I cannot dislike anything Jake does, because I appreciate his effort so much, that I like it just for him trying.
