Thank you for the nice report Sasha! Yeah, my friend went to the bar, shortly after Jake and Duncan left after the introduction, to get us a coke. And there was he, Jake, standing really close to her, giving an interview. Unfortunately she had returned the pic of Jake I gave her earlier that eveninh (for an autograph) and she had nothing in her purse for an autograph...... . She said for a second she thought about asking him to sign a 10-Euro-note. It was really nice to meet all that nice ladies from different boards, and beeing that close to Jake.

I wonder how your husband managed with you being on super trip. How he dealt with that? Was he worried.? Did he called you often or was just fine, happy that you were happy? And what about your kids? How they took your absence? To be perfectly honest, I didn't even speak to him while I was in Berlin. I was so excited I only wrote him a small note that I made it to Berlin without problems. I talked to him the other morning on my way to Dresden. My hubby and I volunteer in our church's community programm this month, we each commited for 30 hours and I was originally due to work 3 hours on Thursday afternoon. My husband filled in for me, so our kids stayed with my parents. Since they have a trampoline in their garden they didn't miss me during the day and fell asleep instantly at night. And they keep up with my grinning and story telling just fine! BTW and OT: this volunteer work is also the reason I don't have much time to post this month as we do it while still working our reg. hours....

It was so much fun to meet you and the other girls! You know - now that I think about it again - I gave my present to the manager cause I thought I wouldn't catch up with Jake on the outside. I should have gone! Maybe I would have been able to give it to him in person, take a pic AND have him sign something! Oh well, it's too late for worries now.

Thank you Sasha for your answer to my "family questions". 30 hours in month for a church it seems really much, regarding your normal work and home routine. How will you manage? We don't have this kind of volunteer duties in my church. At least I don't know anything about that.

Actually it's not a duty, it was volunterily, because it's the month Jesus died in, sort of in remembrance. And it's just this month. Plus I can take the kids along in a lot of cases. I guess it doesn't hurt them to learn that not all people are as fortunate and that we need to give something back when we can.

- Oh, I think that, absolutely, showing your kids a volunteer work for your parish gives them good lesson and example.

Thanks Mermon for your kind words. My hubby and I really try to make that a big point in educating our kids.
@maria: I guess it should be the biggest holiday for any Christian!
