Hmm we think this is The Day after Tomorrow, because that was our the 1st Jake's movie. The one moment from the movie when the girl hugged him to make him feel warmer after coming out from water made us lost our heads, hah. His smile was too cute for our minds.

Sasha4Jake: enjoy LAOD @maria: I think "Jarhead" is an absolutely *GREAT* movie (my boyfriend thinks so too) and Jake's really amazing in it! It's my second favourite movie with him, after BM. As for (other) war movies, I really like "Platoon"! One of the most haunting scenes ever, to me, is the one with Elias (extraordinary played by Willem Dafoe) being shot and falling to the ground and dying. And when "Adagio for Strings" is playing at the end, I get goosebumbs, everytime (I think I saw the movie 5 times or something like that) Such a beautiful piece of music.

oh that's another thing to share Els, i'm becoming impressed as day goes by how many thing we have in common, Platoon is one of my fav too, also Oliver Stone is one of my fav directors, e ven "Apocalypse Now" is stunning, from Coppola. I second all you said about Platoon, i never get tired to see this movie! Gyllenhaal is damn good in playing marine's role in Jarhead, and the directos is very poetic and sensible, i remember the scene when Swoft bring dirty black dust walking on white sand, amazing, i have the impression that shown us all how usuless is the war!

It's really nice to find out you have quite a lot of things in common with someone I didn't see "Apocalypse Now" yet, but I've heard people say it's a great movie I second your thoughts on "Jarhead"

Well, as I mentined in the LAOD thread - LAOD has officially replaced ZODIAC as my favourite Jake movie. He's just so darn sexy in that film!

Gyllenhaal is always sexy, but i do believe that without his clothes on, in some scene here and there is much better I'm glad you like LAOD

oh, it's not just the nudity. I don't know how to explain, there's just something in his face, the way he looks so awake, so happy, so content (when his character is). Like he really meant to be there and enjoyed every minute of it!
