From new interview, - Jake says about "End of Watch" - That is small, intimate movie with amazing script. I like that. He also admits in that interview that he's allergic to cats.

Thanks for sharing this small but important detail about screenplay Mermon, ohh so Gyllenhaal is allergic to cats... poor him..... About Natalie Portman, maybe she's joking, but as she's out of sense of humer bettre to avoid gags like that, as i know that several jornalist and interviewer taken this statemet of her seriously....

Oh, I always thought she was teasing interviewer saying all the compliments about Jake and then at the end - "... too bad that he's ugly". For me it was definitely a joke. Cause it's obvious that he's handsome. I think, that if she really thought this way she wouldn't have said that. I agree, Mermon, she was teasing Jake. And I think if you read the entire statement she made that's very obvious.

Wow such detailed, thanks so much for posting here Mermon. I have to say that seems intricate and well structured, seems also that drama and trouble are round the corner, but sorry, i have to pointed that basing on the few info we have actually, the script recall me too much of letal weapon saga, a cop genre as well as basedn on tow LA cops, the second one expecially.... I don't wish to be hastily, i'm sure that End of watch will be totally different but the script remind me a lot of Letal weapon saga.

You may be right, Maria, it seems to be a bit alike, now when you mentioned this. But the way it's written somehow touched my heart. I will be more than happy to see Jake in love with an intelligent woman and because she becomes pregnant, we probably will have a chance to see him "in action", I just can't wait. Jake in love is so lovely. I trust Jake, when he says that the script is amazing - i do believe him.

Like I already said on WDW - I'd love to audition for Janet - not that I'm "very pretty" but I'm sure they could fix that with a little make up. ;D

Thanks so much for posting this, Mermon! I agree with you, Maria. Thanks so much Els, i'm glad you share my thoughts!

LOL i've notice just now that Gyllenhaal's character's name it's the same of the lieutenant of " Forrest Gump" Dan taylor as well! I'm sure thata we'll going to see a bit of action, that it doesn't hurt, maybe a two different levels, one more intimate, the life of both cops with their recirpocal women, and another most focused on action. Also movie can show the dichotomy of two different realities that the two cops lives, one in contact with crime, and the other with women they love.

Yes, I think, you're right, Maria. Probably that combination of friendship, action, sweetness of love and some drama will make impression.

You're right Mermon. I guess it's the classic formula for cop/police genre, but isn't that much used recenlty, i can recall some good movie back in '80ies that was structured in that way. ;D
