I've never seen GOT - just snippets on YouTube - but isn't it very British? I think Gale would look good in it, but I doubt he'd be able to carry off the required Britishness. He seems too American. Then again, I'm probably selling him short. I've never seen him do a non-American accent, but that doesn't mean he can't do one. Still think the Smiths film is a good bet. GOT season 2 filmed in Belfast, Croatia and Iceland for 5 months. For a role of any duration or substance he'd probably have to live on location during filming, as he did with QAF in Canada.

m-maenner.de/?tag=interviewHere we see two pages of an article about QAF. Can't decipher the text, but the headline is along the lines of Seeing QAF again
First reunion of QAF since 2005 at Rise 'n' Shine. We interviewed the three out gay actors and asked about the political reality of today and the ideas about the future back then and whether there will be a QAF movie or not.

Sierra, I just read the interview with Randy. Most of the questions were the usual blah blah but then he was asked: “What would Justin Taylor do today?” And his answer was weird and annoying (at least for me). He said Justin would probably live in NY (as a graphic designer), married to some rich and older lawyer having a surrogate mother to carry their child. He said they would make jokes about his former relationship with Brian etc.

I recall one comment he made a number of years ago when asked a question like that and said something about Justin moving to London and getting his cell phone stolen while walking his dog in a park (which was a jab at actor Kevin Spacey who told police he was attacked and robbed of his mobile phone while walking his dog in a London park at 4:30 in the morning and then withdrew the claim. It was rumored Spacey was cruising the park for sex) He was also once asked the ridiculous question of whether he would like Justin if he met him in real life and he said maybe not, but they would find out they were identical twins separated at birth and then they would devise some pranks to keep their divorcing parents together (like in Parent Trap)

I'd read that "walking my dog" answer some time ago and had no idea what Randy was talking about. I just came to the conclusion that I don't always get his sense of humour. I didn't know about that KS incident. I do know that he is meant to be one of those in the closet Hollywood actors from other sources though. I wonder what Randy's views are on those who are in the closet. Does he disapprove given that he himself has been out all along? Maybe he disapproves of how KS has decided to live his life. I don't remember the twins answer, but that would have gone over my head too, having never seen that film. Randy with his sometimes obscure references! He makes you work. Good for him. Much better than always reading boring old totally predictable answers.

Quite a few of the QAF guys have arrived in Germany, it's so exciting, cant wait to see all the pics and vids etc. not long now ;D www.gaystarnews.com/article/cast-us-version-queer-folk-are-reuniting-convention-germany050612Cast of US version of Queer as Folk are reuniting at convention in Germany 05 June 2012 | By Greg Hernandez GAY STAR NEWS Most of the cast of Showtime's Queer as Folk, the 2000-05 series about the lives and loves of a group of gay friends living in Pittsburgh, are gathering this week in Cologne, Germany for their first official reunion in seven years. 'Can't believe I am about to get on my flight to Germany for the first ever QAF Convention,' Peter Paige, who spent five seasons playing Emmett Honeycutt posted on Twitter Tuesday (5 June). 'Can't wait to meet the fans.' The event, called Rise n' Shine 2012, will begin Friday and run through Sunday. Paige will be joined by Randy Harrison (Justin Taylor), Hal Sparks (Michael Novotny), Michelle Clunie (Melanie Marcus), Thea Gill (Lindsay Peterson), Scott Lowell (Ted Schmidt), Sharon Gless (Debbie Novotny), Harris Allan (Hunter Montgomery) and Robert Gant (Ben Bruckner). But Queerty.com reports that there will be one notable exception: Gale Harold who played bad boy Brian Kinney. The site says Harold had been scheduled to appear but cancelled his appearance at the last minute due to 'a wonderful work opportunity [that] has only recently come my way.' Harold has kept busy with a series of television roles since the series ended. He most recently was a member of the cast of The Secret Circle for its single season, a regular on Hellcats for a season, starred on NBC's short-lived Vanished and had a recurring role on ABC's Desperate Housewives. He also had memorable two-part guest spots on Grey's Anatomy and Deadwood. While Harold has focused on television work, his Queer as Folk love interest Harrison has mostly concentrated on stage work and Sparks, who played Harold's BFF, has been busy doing stand-up and regularly appearing on television and radio doing commentary and humor. Other cast members have stayed in the limelight as well: Gless is currently in her fifth season on the series Burn Notice; Gant and Lowell have done a series of television guest spots on various series; Clunie was a regular on the series Make it or Break It and is in the upcoming feature film Magic Mike; Gill has done several films and was a regular on the series Dante's Cove; and Paige has written, directed and starred in the films Say Uncle and Leaving Barstow
