OMG, I hope he accepts "The Stand" offer, if it is true! I was just thinking that he needs to choose a new project soon, and this would be perfect. I haven't read the novel yet myself, but I work at a library, and "The Stand" is constantly being checked out, and from everyone I talked to it is regarded as Stephen King's absolute best. If the material is adapted well to film, I bet it would be a HUGE hit. And Jake needs one at this point. Badly. well that's my thoughts i hope that King's novel could be adapted congenlty, as i don't like too much blockbuster, nor box office, nor trilogy, nor movie on Christmas as well....

I said this before, Jake spent a lot of time on the east coast over the past several months. He left LA after he finished promoting POP and was in Martha's Vineyard and then spent the rest of the summer on NYC, started his promos of LAOD (which seemed to keep him on the East coast, they didn't do much promos on the west coast then they went to England) Then he spent the holidays with Maggie and family. He didn't go back to the west coast until he had to be there for GG stuff. I mean he could always have two places, get a place somewhere in NY and have his place in LA so he can go back and forth as needed. The paps don't bother him much in NY and I think he is getting to a point where he is sick and tired of them popping up everywhere he goes in LA really a good point about Gyllenhaal that spend so much time in NY, that's why i hope that he've take home tehre and avoid defintely LA that is truly unhealty for him due to paparazzi stress, also his family is there so would be good for him IMO.

I do hope that there is a huge project in the way for him and that sounds good, right? Let's keep our fingers crossed. At least I'd like to hear Jake making news on new projects at lot more than his latest date news! i guess we'll have to wait a little more to know if this project is true or not, honestly as you Sasha, i will be more interested in Gyllenhaal project then his date, i wish that paparazzi and gossip press leave him alone..

we , as Gyllenhaal, fans pretend so much from him, he's not a machine, he's a human being, and we don't ahve to put all thie expetations about his new project, Very well put, Maria. You know with Jake seeming not to be himself lately I have worried about him. I have two friends (they don't know each other) who are currently unable to work due to the "Burn out syndrom". I much rather have Jake take some time off, relax, feel good about himself than rush from movie to movie and suddenly break down.

I second that! One of the things I admire in Jake is his choice in the movies he plays in, and the fact that he goes for quality and not quantity. I'd rather wait 1 or 2 years (or longer if needed) for him to take on a new project, a good and interesting project he believes in, than to see him every year in a lot of movies, but from minor quality... I also second Maria's opinion -posted in another thread I think- that I rather see Jake make interesting movies, then so-called "blockbuster" movies. I mean, of course I wish for him that his movies do very well, but I do hope he continues to make movies because he finds the story and the characters interesting - like he always does imo- , and not because a movie has got "blockbuster" potential...

Tha Gyllenhaal could getting hurted from paparazzi stres and pressure? He's under magnifiactions, so he need to recover himself for a while, then think quietly on some new project.

Aslo Els agree, a blockbuster movie it's all about profit, sure it will give you a lot of visibility, but nothing such interesting...

eausavageExactly! I'm afraid that when SC promotion will start all the interviewers will ask him for the next project and if he doesn't have any, then could feel bad about it. I hope he's immune enough to that. But I have one dream myself. I would love him to do 2 sequels to Prince of Persia. But judging by his hairdo - it's no chance for that for a while.

I hope he's immune enough to that. I'm not too sure about that as I remember the look on Jake's face when this MTV guy at the GG asked about his new projects besides SC and Jake had to no real answer. Plus Jake didn't exactly seem to have a thick skin lately. Maybe if he can keep out of paps reach for a month or two before starting SC promo he will feel better. Well, for one there's a thing called weaving, all that hair wasn't his in the first movie either. My sister is a hairdresser and watching the movie on her huge, highdef blue ray TV set she pointed out at one shot that his bondings (where the extentions are hooked up to your own hair) show. And if the budget is a problem for Disney - I guess I know a bunch of girls who would be eager to help out at no charge. We can be extras, do the catering, the make up and hair, some of us may be able to help with the costumes and settings...

I may wash his hair everyday ;D
But during POP preparations, he grew his hair longer and was covering them under the cap. And I know he had some ehtra hair too.
- Yes, I have noticed that too. That's why I may only hope he will be ready for that, somehow, with some smart answers.

I may wash his hair everyday ;D Me too, but he may not let us as this is his "workout" - shampoo and conditioner, never a two-in-one product! Me too, honey, me too.

- it came to my mind. But we could propose him to lift us instead, as a work out, one on each arm. The effect would be faster and better. And we could take care of his hair. ;D
