Yesterday, Jake visited a hospital in NY. from facebook and twitter: Amanda was throwing up last evening and in the night but seems better today. She made a number 2, which is a big deal after surgery! So we'll see how she does by tomorrow. Also the exciting news for me today is that Jake Gylenhall is suppose to being coming by to visit all the kids! You know how I love my celebrities! Should I ask for his signature or is that uncool?
Me and lee just met Jake gyllenhaal prince of persia himself. Nice guy real down to earth. Lee got a nice poloroid and i got sam a auto. Im pissed they didnt take a polo of me lee and him now i have to wait for there digital one they took.
Man he so cool hearted and seeing him bring joy to all the kids here is amazing. God bless him for his time. He defently made my sons day.
"I at least need to put on lip gloss" - quote from my chemo taking wife when told that Jake Gyllenhaal would be visiting our hospital room.According Gyllenbabble, he visited the Sloan Kettering. More: I quickly learned that Jake Gyllenhaal was going to come by to say hello to the kids. He showed up for about 2 hours and was so adorable. He took pictures with the kids, talked to parents, etc…. As he was getting ready to leave, our little Olivia ran up to him and handed him a Rockstar Ronan card and the naughty version of his Rockstar Ronan bracelet. Olivia pointed to where Liz and I were sitting and Jake came over to say hello and talked to us for about 5 minutes. He was so sweet and adorable. He put on Ronan’s bracelet and said he was going to wear it and took one look at Ronan’s picture and told us how beautiful he was. Which we all already know, but it was very sweet of him to say and to take the time to talk with us. You can tell he really is a nice person and he totally made all of the kids’ and mom’s day today:) Not to mention, Liz, who was over the moon to say the least:) Maybe he will rock the Rockstar Ronan bracelet on the red carpet and help us raise awareness for childhood cancer:) He seems like he has a very good heart.rockstarronan.com/2010/12/23/i-love-him-to-the-moon-and-back/thanks to Gyllenbabble!

Thank you so much for this! I'd never seen it before. He was just a kid, and so smart and knowledgeable about what he was doing, but definitely a boy. I always wondered why he got cast in that movie (which happens to be one of my very favorite Jake films), because he was obviously young and never quite believable as a man engaged to be married. He has definitely grown up, wouldn't you say? He would have been so much fun to know back then, as he was.

Oh, thank you so much for posting.
I am glad, Jake does things like that. It tells you a lot about the kind of person he is. I love the quote about the chemo taking wife who want to put lip gloss on. There's a fighter in that woman! I hope all these people recover and get to go home to their families!

In an article about Michelle Williams on USA Today: "People tend to box her into a vulnerable corner, but what's lurking underneath is severe strength and a sense of humor," says her pal Jake Gyllenhaal. "There's a tendency in our business to emphasize the business or get caught up in hype. Michelle has never, ever done that. She genuinely prefers her life over her work, and as a result her work is better than almost any other actor out there."www.usatoday.com/life/people/2010-12-28-MichelleWilliams_CV_N.htm

Well Gyllenhaal was such kind to Williams but, sorry to be harsh, i don't see the point to post here some Gyllenhaal's statement about Michelle Williams, as i really don't care too much about her career, nor find interesting what she've done, and what she're doing, and what she'll do, all that she shares with Gyllenhaal at least was a movie 5 years old, what i mean is that i care just about Gyllenhaal, is reductive frozen Gyllenhaal career to Brokeback Mountain, and i'm fed up of equation: Brokeback Mountian-->Gyllenhaal-->Ledger-->Williams--> Matilda Just my tow, again i'm sorry to be harsh

I am not reducing the career of Jake.
BBM is an important film for the cinema and for the life of Jake, Heath and Michelle. There was a connection between them, something that will last for the rest of their lives. This is very rare to occur in the film industry, and has to be appreciated.
I just posted a part of the article where Jake says beautiful and true words about his friend.

There was a connection between them, something that will last for the rest of their lives. This is very rare to occur in the film industry, and has to be appreciated. I just posted a part of the article where Jake says beautiful and true words about his friend. I applaud you for doing that, and as far as I'm concerned you don't need to defend yourself for it. Quotes from Jake about anything and anyone are relevant to our interest in him as a person and as an actor. His comments are published in a source I don't ordinarily read, so I'm glad to be able to see it. There's a strong connection here in every direction: he and Michelle are fellow actors who appeared in an outstanding, memorable film, he was friends with both her and Heath Ledger, his costar in that movie, and he is the godfather to their child. His remarks about Michelle reveal his decency as a human being and his awareness of what's important and valuable to him. Posts that appear on this forum will not appeal to everyone equally, but IMO it's no one else's business to tell the rest of us what we should be interested in.
